While these trips\u00a0offer a unique, deeply meaningful opportunity for practical service and spiritual support, we recognise that those who suffer have much to teach us. We often receive far more than we give, learning from their profound example of endurance and faith. Our hope is that these ministry trips facilitate mutual encouragement and transformation \u2013 they often feature practical service and spiritual support. In fact, those who are persecuted have much to offer and share and we often receive more than they give.<\/p><p><strong>Trip Testimonies<br \/><\/strong><em>\u201cThis is the first time that my wife and I attended a seminar together. \u00a0This seminar has brought us together and we shared a room after many years. We now realized praying together as a couple is very powerful and we have promised to pray together whatever happened. We have dedicated to serve God for years and the teaching on spiritual armor is very helpful.\u201d<\/em><\/p><p><em>\u201cTo us, washing feet is a new experience.\u00a0 I realized that the Holy Spirit can fill us and any believer is able to do ministry.\u00a0 I hope to make this a movement, seeing the Holy Spirit do things on His own through us.\u201d<\/em><\/p><p><em>&#8220;I was truly blessed by participating in the Pastor Family Seminar. Although I am not married yet, this seminar helped me prepare myself for my future married life. The session on prayer helped me understand how important prayer is in family life.\u00a0One thing I especially liked was watching\u00a0 husband&#8217;s washing their his wives feet. It was a beautiful expression of humility, love, and serving one another. It reminded me that marriage is not only about living together, but also about recognizing each other as a gift from God and expressing love to one another.&#8221;<\/em><\/p><p><em>\u201cWe came from very remote area to join this seminar.\u00a0 We\u2019ve learnt of how to live as a Christian family in our community and be an example as a good husband and\u00a0 wife.\u00a0 We\u2019ll\u00a0 bring these teachings to our church and our community.\u201d<\/em><\/p><p><em>\u201cPastoral ministry is challenging and hard for us.\u00a0 We learnt of how to forgive each other and how to serve God.\u00a0 The marriage vow was a good reminder and refreshing for us.\u00a0 We\u2019ll bring what we\u2019ve learnt to our church and our community.\u201d<\/em><\/p><p><em>\u201cPersonally, I want to go on these short mission trips not only because of the general call on my life to serve the persecuted church but because they deepen my trust in the Lord and my dependence on Him. Joining our brothers and sisters on the frontline where the light meets the darkness, forces you to step out in trust. It is an opportunity to experience the power of God at work in a way that just does not happen \u201cback home.\u201d It is tiring, uncomfortable, demanding and testing, but it\u2019s a way to grow in faith and trust in God. We go to serve but, in my experience, we always receive more than we give. To share, even for a brief time, in the lives of those who serve the Lord under threat spiritually, enriches both them and us.
